Do you support AAX format?

Libre Wave plugins are not available in AVID’s proprietary AAX format.
However, you can still use Libre Wave plugins in an external host such as Carla or Vienna Ensemble Pro.

AAX will be coming to Libre Wave products very soon.

Do you run sales or can I get a discount?

If you would like to purchase multiple products or licenses please contact me to discuss a bulk order discount.

I sometimes partner with deals sites that provide time limited discounts on my products but I rarely run sales here at Libre Wave. The only exception is new products which almost always launch at an introductory price. The rest of the time the price you see is almost always the same throughout the year.

Coupon codes are sometimes sent out to existing customers who are on the mailing list.

I occasionally review the prices of my products and revise them up or down as appropriate.

What is your refund policy?

Refund Policy

If you are unhappy with one of Libre Wave’s products open a support ticket and we’ll see if there is something that can be done to improve the situation for you. If the problem can’t be resolved then you can of course have a full refund.

You must report any issue within 14 days of your purchase using the support ticket system. For pre-ordered products this is 14 days after the pre-order period has ended.

All refunds are handled by our payment processor and may take a few days to show up on your statement.

Before you make a purchase please read the product’s description thoroughly to determine if it will work on your system and that it meets your needs. Refunds won’t be granted due to system incompatibility if you have failed to do this. If you are in any doubt please contact us to get more details before you purchase.

Refund Policy Abuse

Abusing the refund policy means, for example, buying and downloading products and immediately requesting refunds on all of them, or continually buying and downloading them, and requesting refunds each time.

If we determine that a user is abusing the refund policy, we may immediately, and without warning or communication, suspend their account. We also reserve the right to not issue to them any more refunds, after we have made our determination of suspected abuse.

Libre Wave also reserves the right to block future purchases from any user or users deemed to have potentially abused our refund policy, even if they create a new Libre Wave account. If we discover a pattern to the abuse, we may also pre-emptively suspend accounts suspected to be part of the pattern of abuse.

Where’s the Software License?

Unless otherwise specified, all Libre Wave software is released under the GPLv3, and all audio samples are provided under a Creative Commons Plus license.

Why not release the samples under the GPL?

The GPL is designed for software and requires that users have access to the source code. Since samples are audio files without an equivalent to source code, the GPL isn’t suitable for them. Moreover, the GPL mandates that any derivative works must also be released under the same license, meaning that GPL-licensed samples would require users to release their compositions under the GPL, which isn’t ideal.

Instead, I’ve chosen to use the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike license along with an additional license that grants extra permissions. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about the licensing terms.

You can find the full license document, which combines the GPL, Creative Commons, and CC+ licenses, here.

Where are my download links?

Once your order status has changed to completed your download links will be activated. You’ll receive an email containing the links and they’ll also be available from your account dashboard.

If you don’t see the email in your inbox please check your junk mail and spam mail folders and make sure the librewave.com domain is on your spam filter’s white-list.

If you don’t see your download links in either your account or your email please open a support ticket.

If you’re unable to access your account then please contact me and provide your order details. It’s also important that you provide at least one alternative email address or other method by which I can contact you – because if you haven’t received your order email then it’s unlikely you’ll be able to receive any other emails from me at the email address you used when you placed your order.

What forms of payment do you accept?

PayPal (also credit/debit cards)

You can place an order even if you don’t have a PayPal account and would like to use a debit/credit card.

Orders are automatically processed and download links will be issued as soon as the order completes. On some rare occasions I have to manually confirm payments before the download links are sent out so please leave at least 24 hours before asking me where your download links are.

Do you provide product support?

Before you contact me for support please check the Knowledge base to see if your question has already been answered.

Support is only provided for verified purchases from Libre Wave or affiliated resellers. If your purchase was made through this website you should open a support ticket.

If you purchased through an affiliated reseller please use the contact form and include your order ID or transaction reference so that your purchase can be verified.

I usually respond to support requests pretty quickly (within hours) but sometimes it can take me a little longer. Don’t forget to check your junk/spam email folder in case my reply has got lost on the way to you.

If there is a problem with the contact form you can email directly: support@librewave.com.
