FAQ
They are created by recording 1000s of individual notes on a real instrument. These recordings are then chopped up into individual files, called samples, and mapped in software so that they can be triggered using MIDI.
Bell & Bone includes over 2000 trumpet and trombone samples.

If you run into any problems using this library (or any others) in FL Studio there are two things you can try straight away.
Firstly, make sure you are using an audio buffer size that is a power of two: 64, 128, 256, 512, 1024, etc.
Secondly, enable FL Studio’s align tick lengths option. You can find this in Options > Audio Settings > CPU > Align Tick Lengths.
If you’re still having problems with Bell & Bone in FL Studio please open a support ticket and we’ll do what we can to get you up and running.
Simply download and install Rhapsody. Launch the standalone version of the app, and log in. From there you’ll be able to view, download, and install your products.
You do not need an internet connection to use the library once it has been installed.
Rhapsody is an innovative modern sampler including features such as multi-mic routing, purge until played, dynamic crossfading, and user presets.
For now it is still possible to use the instrument with Pro Tools by running Rhapsody in an external host or using a wrapper such as Meta Plugin.

For a free instrument, Bell & Bone is quite complete and has a good sound. The interface is straight-forward, and the different key-switched articulations make it even more useful.
I would love to see two conical bore instruments added: Flugelhorn and Cornet. Plus, more support for MIDI Breath and/or Wind Controllers (CC#02) particularly for envelope/volume control. This would surely distinguish this sample-based instrument from others where full support for CC#02 is non-existent or just an afterthought. There is no substitute for the realistic expressivity that can be achieved with proper CC#02 support and a good controller.
I look forward to seeing what a full blown paid version looks (and sounds) like!

Choices of articulations are very usable and will help get your horns up and running. Really digging the trumpets, but the bones ain’t no joke either. If you miss this one, you blew it.
