This beautiful concert harp was recorded in Sofia, Bulgaria. We used a selection of microphones, to record multiple perspectives, close, decca, and hall. These give the library a full and rounded tone with plenty of character, while also allowing for warm, intimate moments.
As with most Libre Wave libraries the samples have very little natural reverb, allowing you to apply your own effects and control the environment.
Sustain
The standard plucked sound of the harp.
Bisbigliando
A soft, whispering tone that becomes increasingly blurred and shimmery as trills, tremolos and arpeggios speed up.
Picked
Plucked sustained notes with a more distinct attack.
Près de la Table
A dryer tone, often compared to a guitar. Created by playing closer to the instrument’s soundboard.
Harmonics
A delicate, bell-like tone by lightly touching the string at a nodal point while plucking it, creating a clear, ethereal sound.
Staccato
A short, detached note played with clear separation from the following note.
The harp has seven pedals, each controlling a note across all octaves. You can adjust them using the pedal diagram or choose from preset scales in all 12 keys.
