About the library
Libre Wave’s Mexican marimba sample library was meticulously recorded at Studio Uno in Oaxaca, Mexco. Capturing the authentic sound of a handcrafted marimba, this library features three microphone positions (close, overhead, and room) for maximum flexibility in mixing.
It includes two mallet types—normal and soft—providing a range of tonal colors, from bright and percussive to warm and mellow.
The instrument was chromatically sampled with 12 round robins per note for natural, lifelike playback. With two distinct articulations (sustain and muted) and three dynamic layers.
