Expression

The expression knob is a sub-volume control, applied before the master volume. It provides an overall volume change to the instrument.

Dynamics or DXF

For sustained articulations with multiple dynamic layers, the Dynamics control is activated.

Also labelled DXF (Dynamic Crossfade) on some instruments, this control allows you to smoothly crossfade between the dynamic layers in real time.

An automatic volume curve is also applied to maintain a consistent and natural response across the instrument’s range.
